Here are a few tips and guidelines to uploading a custom virtual gift:

• Use your own artwork. If you upload something that doesn’t belong to you, it will be rejected.
• Make sure you are uploading a 100×100 pixel .jpg – If your image is larger than 100×100 it will not upload

Over the last several months, our development teams have been working on building a distributed room hosting solution, the Camfrog Distributed Server. We’re excited to announce that we are opening this software up to any room hosts who are looking for a scalable, distributed room hosting package.

Camfrog has always been about self-hosted rooms, and to continue on with this tradition, we have decided to discontinue our own room hosting service and enable all room owners to use our cloud technology with any hosting service.  If you have an active purchased Camfrog Cloud server, please contact our support team and they will be glad to assist you with a refund.

Camfrog Distributed Server for Hosters will be available soon. Some of the features of having your own Cloud service, are:

· Scalable distributed hosting Distribute your Camfrog rooms across multiple servers, for even more reliability and capacity

· Exclusive TCP media streaming Take advantage of our new audio/video streaming technology, that uses a newly modified video system. The result? Faster, higher quality video, with significantly less lag, or pixelation.

Our website team just released a cool feature a lot of people have been asking about. You can now automatically share Frogfeed items with your Facebook friends! When you receive a virtual gift, it can be shared with your friends on Facebook. It’s a great way to share your gifts with a friend!

It’s that time again! We just released an update to Camfrog for Windows. This version fixes a few bugs that have been reported, and also includes support for our new enhanced Audio/Video streaming system.

We have recently experienced an outage of Camfrog Cloud service which has been caused by large scale DDoS attacks against our Cloud servers.  Our networking and engineering teams have been working around the clock to mitigate these attacks. We are working with our Internet providers and while we do not have an exact estimate for when this will be ready, we are hoping to have service back to normal as soon as possible.

We are extremely grateful for your continued patience while we weather these troubling attacks against our service. We will extend all Camfrog Cloud licenses to make up for this downtime. Unfortunately we are currently experiencing an outage across part of our services.
