It’s that time again! We just released an update to Camfrog for Windows. This version fixes a few bugs that have been reported, and also includes support for our new enhanced Audio/Video streaming system.

We’ve been watching your feedback, and with your help, we’ve found a few critical bugs that could cause your room to freeze, or go offline/disconnect from Camfrog’s central servers.

We just released a new update to Camfrog Server and Camfrog Advanced Server!

This update includes several bug fixes, and stability enhancements based on reports from all of you. We also updated this for full Camfrog Coins support. As always, we welcome your feedback.

Camfrog Server 6.2 includes some bug fixes and stability enhancements, as well as System message localization, automatic recovery of media streams, and a built-in tool that checks if your server is accessible from the Internet.

Automatic recovery of media streams, means that if for some reason your webcam, or audio cuts out, or drops, it will automatically reconnect to the server.

The built in Accessibility check, simply verifies that your server is able to accept incoming connections from users over the internet, and that your firewall, or network is not blocking normal Camfrog activity.

The new features of version 6.3 include two Games: Tic-Tac-Toe and Four in a Row

We also added a new feature called Ponds. A pond is a free mini chatroom, that you can use to invite your buddy list for a multi-user video chat with. You can right-click someone in your friends list, and then “Invite to Pond” to start a pond. When you leave the pond, it dries up and disappears.

You can see when your friends are swimming in a pond, if they have a cool pond icon

Ponds are a free mini-chat, that you can use anytime. All the video/audio for a pond goes through our specialized media servers, so you don’t have to worry about the bandwidth. Ponds are a great way to quickly start up a chatroom, without even downloading our server software.

This new update includes our #1 most recommended feature: Video in rooms!

Now with the Camfrog app, you can join any all ages room, and broadcast your video, and see other users as well!
