We just released new versions of the Camfrog Server Software. Updates include Camfrog Server Web Extension support, as well as several bug fixes.

Have you wanted to let users join your Camfrog room through their web browser? You can now do this with our new Web Extension for Camfrog Server. To allow users to join your room directly from your website, all you need is to activate Web Extension feature on Camfrog Server and embed a piece of HTML code on your web page.

Some of the features of the new Web Extension:

• Allow users to access your Camfrog video chat room with lightweight browser-based Camfrog Video Chat Client software.
• Advertise your Camfrog room on your website giving new users possibility to join video chat immediately from web page.
• Support the most popular room features (chat, video, audio). For full featured video chat Camfrog Video Chat software installation is recommended.
• Easy access to your room from public computers where no Camfrog Video Chat software is installed.
• Supported clients browsers: Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari and Opera.

Please note Camfrog Server Web Extension currently is for Windows users only on Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, and Opera browsers.

Apple has released its new OS X Lion operating system and Camfrog is ready.  If you’re using Lion please be sure you are using our newest Mac Camfrog Client.

Camfrog Client 6.1.138 is now available for download.

This new Windows client version has many bug fixes, including a bug where the user directory icon did not open our user directory for some users.  Some users also reported a problem where receiving an IM could cause them to crash and this update seems to solve that problem.

Update: IM HISTORY – Some users think their IM history was deleted with the new Windows client release but they are mistaken.  In the IM History window use the pull-down menu at the bottom left and choose “show last month” or another option to see older IM history.  Please note that showing all IM history may slow down your client and make it start and exit slower.

Camfrog Server 6.0.25 is now available for download.  It is recommended that you upgrade your server software as soon as possible.

This new server version has many miscellaneous bug fixes and also allows users in your room and your room itself to have the new special Top 5 most gifted icons.
