Camfrog Client 6.1.138 (Windows) Released!

Camfrog Client 6.1.138 is now available for download.

This new Windows client version has many bug fixes, including a bug where the user directory icon did not open our user directory for some users.  Some users also reported a problem where receiving an IM could cause them to crash and this update seems to solve that problem.

Update: IM HISTORY – Some users think their IM history was deleted with the new Windows client release but they are mistaken.  In the IM History window use the pull-down menu at the bottom left and choose “show last month” or another option to see older IM history.  Please note that showing all IM history may slow down your client and make it start and exit slower.

    both of 6.1.136 and 6.1.138 (newest) have no schollbar when joining the room if message of the day is long. please fix it

    Nice… I’ve upgraded since 3 days ago. Love this one.
    Anyway, how do u think about this now situation on Camfrog? Seems like ‘powerless’, isn’t it? This can’t be called DEVELOPMENT. Do something, Frog! Do something to change this situation.

  4. Just added more lines to make it clearer to the problem. There is no scroll down to read the rest. so I can see where this guys coming from.

    This was ok before the latest upgrade.

    1 : desperate room list with join room,
    2 : scroll bar still not fix , if motd to long,

    Version 6.1.138 identical to the MOTD V.6.1.136 about writing HTML tags.
    Only the version 6.0.111 seems to me correct.

    My screen resolution is 1680 x 1050, opening a room takes nearly half my screen width, and i can’t narrow it. It is annoying.

    Please fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    CLEAR USER LIST OPTION in the login screen pleaseee!!!
    i don’t get it why you guys removed that feature since the 6.x versions first came out. Crowded login userlist = hella annoying. My friends come over here and login their IDs on my laptop. I have to revert back to the non-working version 5.5 then clear the user list, then re-install 6.1 just to get rid of my friends’ nicknames on the list. Talk about being hassled. 8)

    Also, ummm, any BlackBerry app in the works?

    It would help if you guys checked your guys EMAIL more often, I been emailing helpdesk@camfrog.com not just once but twice and yet no RESPONSE if that isn’t the email address anymore, please UPDATE THE WEBSITE.

    im history is LOST previous versions RETAINED IM history AFTER INSTALL of new version and it carried over.. this one only starts FROM DATE OF NEW VERSION INSTALL. I.M HISTORY HAS BEEN LOST. seeing as you Q/A testers and software people need it spelled out…… THE OLD VERSION CARRIED I.M history from the past and into the NEW version of cf. THIS ONE does not. it starts from the install of 6.0 or current install. ALL I know is PRIOR to this version I was able to access MONTHS of i.m. history. and now i can only access JULY ( from the 11th to be exact ). Thus the history is not accessable and the statement….”I updated the Blog post about your lost IM history. Please scroll up to see your IM history is not really lost.” is false. AND YES…i have used the im history PULL DOWN menu by date button.

    If you can access your history up to July 11th this means that you have default show last week selection set in pull down (today is July 18th 🙂

    OMG I just update CF version 6.1 and I lost all of my every ID’s IM History. I have checked drop-drow list , it does not show any.

    I try to downgrade to 6.0, it still doesn’t work. now all of MY IM History gone. How can I do? Please help, I keep all of IM history for 3 years.

    what part of your camfrog keep IM history? plz tell me how to solve this problem as soon as possible.

    All my im history is lost. I did everything but i can’t see my im history anymore!
    After upgrading to 6.1.136 i can see only the new history.

    @hella_fly I don’t think “clear user list” should be on the login page as accident click on that clears all userslist 🙂

    There is a easier way than what you did. Just select the user you want to delete from userlist and press DEL key and you are done !!

    The MOTD disappears after clicking Yes, and that should not happen. People should be able to scroll up and re-check what they agreed to.

    i just want to say zoom shorts i run a room with that & most every person that joins, does not take the time to read it or they would know i don’t allow wanking in the room must be face on cam. so its not the fact they can its they refuse to check the rules & what they agree too or i’d put something really stupid up there & laff at them all. lol

    You’ve lost your IMs?

    I have lost a few friends with new policies.

    IMHO It’s a matter of earning money, not regulating the usage. You can control the usage with a few other methods … but all of them are free for the user, of course 😉

    It would be great if you reconsider or find another solution.

    Camfrog keeps being the best video chat!

    “sometime we have to enter the password for the old ID we have, wich is we cannot access anymore due to ( has been hacked, forgot password, etc ).
    Because it is sooo… annoying. And I’ve seen many peoples had the same issues… But it seems you dont have the answer for it .. Yet

  22. need to be fixed:

    * sometimes it shows keep logging in for longer to an id, if use other id to login it gets u in and after that we can login back with that id which we were trying to login earlier.

    *showing last login in web profile which we not yet login to that particular id in camfrog. eg. if i login my abc id, my other id xyz is showing same time as last login in web profile.

  23. also when i enter in room for few seconds its normal but after that i get into lurker category , no cam and no sound . in every rooms it started from today and i already upgraded since it has been released. my net speed every thing is fine.

    i am wondering if you can say admin if any of the programs for the bot is part of camfrog or is kermit & the rest on myfrogtools.com is not part of camfrog & we need to contact them on any of the issues with them?

    Where is the Camfrog support? I mean how many others have been trying to contact Camfrog with no responses, or no email replies. This is absolutely ridiculous and they want customers to PAY? FOR WHAT… We pay for a service that has a team by it not a SERVICE that runs itself.

    @ Mike,

    If you got problem dealing with program, send your message to Support, while if you have problem with technical thing, email to Helpdesk. Note, hundreds emails come up in their inbox everyday, so that not all incoming ones responded. If you contact them, please add with details of your problems. For example, if you got problem with payment, you just forward the notification email which already in your hands to Helpdesk. They will contact you.

    @Rudy,
    What i meant was the one in the login screen in the previous CF 5.x versions. Clears the list of all the IDs you previously logged in with. Example: I used Hella_Fly, Fly_Hella, Hella, Whatever, etc to login. So as a result, the drop down thing in the login screen shows all these IDs. In the previous 5.x versions you had the option to clear this list coz sometimes it gets too crowded and annoying. They don’t have that feature anymore since 6.0 was released so I was wondering if this feature can be brought back in the next release. Other people login their IDs on my laptop and it gets kinda crowded. Kinda sucks seeing other people’s ID on your login thing too. I’m just anal like that I guess. Hope an admin can comment on my suggestion. Thanks.

    Done all of the following. Since “Paltalk” has bought out “Camfrog” the support SUCKS, if I remember correctly this program used to be a 1 mans job and the support now sucks where as before I got replies back within hours.

    This is absolutely false

    I have selected “Show Everything”, and every other option, and i see no IM history prior to upgrading to 6.0 client.

    Please get your facts straight

    Hey i am a long time user of this program and i’ve never had any complaints, but after updating to the new one i HAVE lost all my IM history, please don’t tell me to use the drop down box or anything silly like that because obviously i’ve tried it. It’s all gone. Which wouldn’t be a problem if not for the fact that i met my girlfriend of almost 4 years on this program and i thought it would be quite romatic to publish our old IMs into a book for our anniversary. Alas it’s all gone with that gesture.

    I have this problem also when i go offline then i need a another nickname to come online… so can someone fix that???

    Guys ! After you installed this version , your IM history will be gone even you uninstall 6.1.138 then install the other version 6 ;(
