Over the years, many people have been given OPerator

people have been subsequently banned due to violations

Just because you have a color in a room, it does not
mean that no one is watching you and your actions!
Some people are given a position of trust fairly freely,
but often times this is undeserved. Room owners and OP’s
watch all of our action with regard to other users. We
are expected to live up to the trust we have been given,
not down to the level of a common pervert. Everyone is being
watched, by other room owners, operatord and USERS. If a
pattern of abuse is noticed, it is not hard to verify it.
Users who feel they are being abused, often send others copies
of YOUR IM’s to them. This is how it starts, and in some cases,
here on Camfrog, it has led to criminal prosecution.
Words to the wise, never do anything on the internet that you
may wish to disclaim. Ever.
