Recently some Camfrog users may have been the victim of several email scams called phishing scams. These phishing emails appear to come from a Camfrog.com email address but in reality they do not come from us or our servers at all.
The emails will usually ask you to download a file or to visit a website outside Camfrog.com.
Camfrog will never ask you to visit a website outside Camfrog.com. If someone is sending a link to a website like rapidshare.com do not visit the website and do not download anything. If someone is requesting that you logon to the Camfrog website be sure and type in http://www.camfrog.com manually in your browser window first.
Microsoft has a great Phishing information page with some helpful safety tips. We also published a post here in May called “Always Keep Your Camfrog Logon Private!“.
