We regularly have people sending us great ideas for gifts, and even sending us artwork they have made themselves, asking us to upload it into the Camfrog Virtual Gifts Catalog. Well, we are excited to announce the new Gift Studio, where you can upload your own artwork/images, and it will appear in the gifts catalog.

As a bonus, each time your custom gift is sent, you will earn back bonus Camfrog coins!

Here are a few tips and guidelines to uploading a custom virtual gift:

• Use your own artwork. If you upload something that doesn’t belong to you, it will be rejected.
• Make sure you are uploading a 100×100 pixel .jpg – If your image is larger than 100×100 it will not upload
• Make your gift light, and fun! (Check out our existing catalog for ideas!)

Our website team just released a cool feature a lot of people have been asking about. You can now automatically share Frogfeed items with your Facebook friends! When you receive a virtual gift, it can be shared with your friends on Facebook. It’s a great way to share your gifts with a friend!

You can link your Facebook account to your Camfrog nick, by signing in to camfrog.com and going to your Profile Settings Page and click the “Link Facebook” account to enable publishing:(You can also visit your Profile Settings Page at any time to disable crossposting.)

We’ve been working to improve the Camfrog website, and part of these improvements include our website Translation Project

Did you know, that we’ve been working on translating Camfrog’s website into different languages? We want the Camfrog experience to be as easy as it can be, and this includes letting people use Camfrog in their own native language.

Do you speak a language other than English? Would you like to help out with our Camfrog Website Translation project? It’s really simple, just visit translate.camfrog.com/website and sign in using your Camfrog nick, and you can start translating right away!

We even offer special gifts as a thanks for translation help.

So far, we have translations in Thai, Italian, Russian, and Indonesian. We’re looking to translate Camfrog into… All the languages!

Please be aware, there are several phishing/scam websites out there right now offering free gifts, or free coins for Christmas. These websites look like Camfrog.com website, and ask you to enter your username and password to claim your free Camfrog Coins, or Christmas Virtual Gift. These websites then steal your account, and use it to spam other Camfrog users.

These sites are fake. There are no free Camfrog Coins or free Christmas gifts promotions at this time. We are working to get these fake phishing sites taken down as soon as possible.

Remember, NEVER enter your Camfrog username/password anywhere that is not camfrog.com

Some of you have already noticed something new on our website. Today, we launched a new, easier way to purchase virtual gifts: Camfrog Coins

Camfrog Coins are a virtual currency, that you can use to instantly send a vgift to a friend, a stranger, or your favorite room. When you purchase Camfrog Coins pack, your profile is updated automatically to show your current coins at the top of the page:

When you send a gift using Camfrog Coins, your available coins balance is automatically updated, when the gift is instantly delivered. No more waiting on payment or processing delays. Send multiple gifts quickly and easily!

Speaking of gifts. You may have also noticed, that we have changed the gift achievement levels as well!

We have updated our Gifts Catalog, and adjusted how many gift points each gift is worth, as well as updated the achievement tiers, adding two new crown levels!

Also added to your profile homepage, is a new gift status center, which shows you your current achievement level, how many coins you have, and how many points to unlock the next achievement level, as well as some other cool information

We’re pretty excited about this new gifting system, and as always, we welcome your feedback and ideas to make it even better!

Update: A lot of people have been asking about the new points tiers, or saying gifts do not appear in the Camfrog Software. Please be sure to check out our About Gifts page to see the full updated tiers. Yellow star is now 1000 points, instead of 10 – So to have the yellow star appear inside the software, you need at least 1000 points.

With Camfrog 6.2 you can now call your friends anywhere in the world, or send them an sms.

You can also add your phone number to your Camfrog Profile, so your friends can call, or txt you!

To add your phone number to your profile, just login to the Camfrog.com website, and click the SETTINGS link at the top of the page and add your home, office, or mobile number to your profile. Other users will not be able to see this number, and you can also choose to only allow your friends to be able to call or send you an sms – This means that only users that have added you, and you have also added back, can call/txt you.

If you add a number to your profile, your friends will see this green call button next to their nick in your buddy list

If you click the call button, you can then choose which number you want to call or send an sms.

When you send someone an sms/text message, they can even reply to your txt from their phone, and it will show up in the IM window*

*Note: if you log out of Camfrog, and log back in later, you may not be able to receive sms replies
