Our website team just released a cool feature a lot of people have been asking about. You can now automatically share Frogfeed items with your Facebook friends! When you receive a virtual gift, it can be shared with your friends on Facebook. It’s a great way to share your gifts with a friend!

You can link your Facebook account to your Camfrog nick, by signing in to camfrog.com and going to your Profile Settings Page and click the “Link Facebook” account to enable publishing:(You can also visit your Profile Settings Page at any time to disable crossposting.)

We have noticed a lot of people contacting our support team with questions or issues that are security related, and so wanted to just pass on a few security tips to help keep you safe.

1: Be extra cautious of phishing sites. Never enter your Camfrog account password in a website that is NOT camfrog.com – If you are ever suspicious of whether or not a website is genuine, you can Contact our support staff.

When clicking on a link in Camfrog you will see a URL Redirect page. If you see this page, that means the website you are going to is NOT a Camfrog website, and you should not enter your Camfrog account information there.

2: You should never share your Camfrog Pro activation code with another user. If more than one user logs in with your code, it will be deactivated, and we may not be able to provide a replacement, so be sure to keep it super secret.

3: Be careful when receiving files over IM. Sometimes people will try to send a virus or trojan disguised as a real file. Always use a virus/malware scanner to check any files before opening them. If a friend is sending a file, talk to them first to make sure it’s really them sending it.

Please be aware, there are several phishing/scam websites out there right now offering free gifts, or free coins for Christmas. These websites look like Camfrog.com website, and ask you to enter your username and password to claim your free Camfrog Coins, or Christmas Virtual Gift. These websites then steal your account, and use it to spam other Camfrog users.

These sites are fake. There are no free Camfrog Coins or free Christmas gifts promotions at this time. We are working to get these fake phishing sites taken down as soon as possible.

Remember, NEVER enter your Camfrog username/password anywhere that is not camfrog.com

Some of you have already noticed something new on our website. Today, we launched a new, easier way to purchase virtual gifts: Camfrog Coins

Camfrog Coins are a virtual currency, that you can use to instantly send a vgift to a friend, a stranger, or your favorite room. When you purchase Camfrog Coins pack, your profile is updated automatically to show your current coins at the top of the page:

When you send a gift using Camfrog Coins, your available coins balance is automatically updated, when the gift is instantly delivered. No more waiting on payment or processing delays. Send multiple gifts quickly and easily!

Speaking of gifts. You may have also noticed, that we have changed the gift achievement levels as well!

We have updated our Gifts Catalog, and adjusted how many gift points each gift is worth, as well as updated the achievement tiers, adding two new crown levels!

Also added to your profile homepage, is a new gift status center, which shows you your current achievement level, how many coins you have, and how many points to unlock the next achievement level, as well as some other cool information

We’re pretty excited about this new gifting system, and as always, we welcome your feedback and ideas to make it even better!

Update: A lot of people have been asking about the new points tiers, or saying gifts do not appear in the Camfrog Software. Please be sure to check out our About Gifts page to see the full updated tiers. Yellow star is now 1000 points, instead of 10 – So to have the yellow star appear inside the software, you need at least 1000 points.

If you recently upgraded to Windows 8, and are getting “Connection Error” message when trying to sign in, please try re-downloading Camfrog from our DOWNLOAD PAGE and re-installing. This should fix this error.

If you upgraded to Windows 8, and are still getting logon errors even after re-installing, please contact us via our Contact Page

We just updated our Lost Password page, so if you forget your password, it will no longer be sent to you as plain text in an email.

We added a new layer of security, so when you use the Lost Password page, you will be sent an email with a link to reset your password to something new.

Always check the address bar, to make sure that you are only entering your information in https://www.camfrog.com/ and not some other website. The URL should always look like this:

Is your Camfrog Pro subscription expiring soon?

You don’t have to wait for it to expire to renew your subscription for another year.
To find out how much time you have remaining, just open your buddy list window, go to the “Camfrog” menu, and choose Help->About. You will see a window like this that shows how much time is remaining:

To extend your subscription, you can visit our Registration Page, or talk to a live sales operator in the GetCamfrogPro chatroom to purchase another year subscription, then just enter your new Camfrog Pro license code, by opening your buddy list window, and going to the Camfrog Menu, and click “Activate Camfrog Pro”
This will merge your existing subscription time onto your new code (and deactivate the old code) so you don’t miss out on any time with your Camfrog Pro Subscription.
