Camfrog Server 6.0.25 is now available for download.  It is recommended that you upgrade your server software as soon as possible.

This new server version has many miscellaneous bug fixes and also allows users in your room and your room itself to have the new special Top 5 most gifted icons.

Camfrog Server now has three audio modes.  Go to the “actions” menu in the main window and choose “settings” then under the “general” tab choose your preferred audio mode at the bottom left.  “Push to talk” mode is our classic Camfrog audio mode.  You can also choose “Push to talk for multiple users” and then on the right side you can choose the number of users you’d like to allow to talk simultaneously.  If you choose “hear all visible users” audio mode, then you can hear the audio of any user you view in the video chat room.  If a user’s audio is too loud you can always mouse over their remote video window and mute it or close their window.  We look forward to seeing what new fun and interesting things Camfroggers do with these new audio modes.  Please note the new 6.0 client is required to use these new audio modes.

With the new Camfrog Server software it’s much easier to create multiple rooms on one server.  Go to the “File” menu and choose “New window” and suddenly you have two Camfrog Servers available.  To close one of the rooms click the X in the top right of the window.  To exit the application completely go to the bottom right notification area and right click the Camfrog Server icon and choose “exit”.

Camfrog Server BETA 5.0 is now available for download.  This new Camfrog server version has a totally new interface that allows you to host an almost unlimited number of video chat rooms from your server.  You no longer have to run multiple versions of Camfrog Server to run multiple video chat rooms.

You can also now manage your rooms and servers remotely using our new software without having to logon to your remote server.

Switching ports on Camfrog Server startup is now easy and it won’t cause problems with the users already in your room.  As an added bonus, our early alpha testers have reported that this new software version uses even less CPU and resources than our old server.

Update:  Please note this is a beta test and not a final version of the server software.  The old server version is still available and absolutely no changes have been made with Camfrog in any way.  We released this software update as a beta version to get feedback before releasing a final version and we appreciate your comments and take them seriously.

You can now buy a virtual gift for your video chat room.  Just visit the info page for your room, then choose the type of gift you want to give. The rooms that are currently online and that have the most gift points appear at the top of the room list under “Most Gifted Rooms”.
