cf 1.9 is still extremely slow-going. and, to some extent, so is 1.8. i've been using 1.8. so... wondering if someone at cf will- please, of course- provide us mac users with more info about this matter. so that we may get a better idea of what is going on, here. as for us cf pro users, we paid good money to use a product that works to a good performance standard. presently, the 'state-of-the-art' version of cf for mac, 1.9- and, its predecessor, 1.8- are seemingly substandard performers, by far. cf: we deserve better. come on. please... help us out, here. something. anything. thank you.

Can someone explain in more detail what this means?

"Type @nickname to link to a Camfrog user profile"

I did several searched on camfrog website and also on Google but could not find any more details.

Thank you!

I just downloaded the new camfrog on my macbook and unlike the old 1.8, i have choppy cam in the rooms and my typing either gets sent delayed or not at all. when i type there is also a delay. i have tried getting the old camfrog back but i cant find it. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to get the old camfrog 1.8 instead of 1.9

Hi guys. CF 1.9 seems to be stable, but impossibly slow. In a room with more than 20-30 people, it lags so badly I can't even scroll through the list of users or open and close cams. OS X.4.11 1.5GHx PPC.

I love CF, but I can't use it anymore. I tried installing the version on the disc that got mailed to me when I first got pro, but it made me upgrade as soon as I logged in.

Help!

Oh... Oops... I missed an edit. This is what I'm saying: 'I realize that a computer and a program/app are something other than biological organisms; it’s just that it seems like, in some ways, the dynamics/mechanisms in computers, which are actually/only machines, are similar to biological mechanisms.'

Follow-Up/Status Report: Check this: I just signed on and the new Camfrog v1.9 actually worked quite good; actually, the best I ever experienced in a long time. So... For now... So Far, so good. Thank you. Please keep up all your good work. Then again, the room I was in was a relatively small-scale situation, with a max of 10 users. Another thing I try is 'ignore user' to all bots in room. Seems like the more activity in the room, with users adding messages and the bot adding its thing, the more for one's computer to process; so, I just try to minimize the overall activity in the room, so that I maximize the efficiency/effectiveness/speed/processing power for my computer. I'm wondering how it will work in rooms with a lot of people and a lot of activity. I'll continue to run it and see how it goes. I always wondered if, sometimes, some computer systems take some time to get some computer programs working better and better; that a computer kind of gets a feel for the program and, over time, the program runs better and better. I realize that a computer and a program/app are something other than biological organisms; it's just that it seems like, in some ways, the dynamics/mechanisms in computers are similar to biological mechanisms, even though computers and computer programs/apps are, in some ways, similar to biological mechanisms. Whatever's going on, it's working quite good, presently, and I appreciate it.
