Camfrog Client 5.2.162 Beta (Windows) is now available for beta testing. With this new beta if your computer cannot handle our new video rendering system you will be switched back to our old system. Please test and post your feedback on the blog or to our helpdesk.

The video chat failed because the person you called is using an old software version. Please ask them to upgrade their software by visiting http://download.camfrog.com.

Just like the last Beta, the video quality is HORRIBLE. With 5.1 I can stretch windows in a classic 1x room to 1.5x and the video quality is still acceptable. With 5.2 beta in the SAME ROOM, cams are pixelated and grainy.
Please revert video quality to 5.1 so we can have nice clear video again! This is abysmal!

ey can you guys fix it so when your in the room the bar dosnt go up… like it stays down so when somebody talks the bar dosnt go up and you have to scroll down all the time.. its soo annoying!!

the new beta works fine although on oldder pc’s it seems to crash the pc for some reason and had to reboot the hole pc as for private chat it works 90% of the time however on a few occasions the video chat would not display the webcam as it just said video could not be loaded for both parties, other than that all works fantastic great work guys

hii have used thiscafrog 5.2 beta and i am having no problems with it being on windows xp or windows vista

yeah 1on1 is a problem that does need fixing something tells me its not a program issue but rather a port issue as it works for some people and not others.

When doing 1 on 1 are you connecting to another beta user and it still does not work? Please confirm.
If they were not using the beta then it isn’t supposed to work.

yes i tried 1 on 1 chat with a beta user (version 5.2.162) and the message said video could not be loaded please visit the link as usual message does when a users cam can not be loaded: confirmed for version 5.2.162

also slight program freeze when loading a room for the first time after boot up of pc however the program does recover but can be a little annoying. (version 5.2.162)

I cant open more then 29 cams then i get “left the chat or has had a temporary video error” the other beta did not do this….

yeah i already know that anyway i found another bug this time its to do with lurkers i have noticed everytime a user enters the room the word “No Lurker Users” appears in the lurkers list and if you have a busy room the list of no user lurkers gets alot bigger and the word is repeated all the way down the lurker list. (version 5.2.162)

Im using camfrog with my girlfriend and everytime were together in a room and we want to talk in privat…the new cf just freezes. Even when im only in privat with my gf and not in a room it just freezes after like 1 minute and then it shuts off. And its not even using more of the cpu or ram. Its just freezing.

If you report a problem please go to the Camfrog “Help” menu then choose the “About” box and tell us the exact version number, otherwise it is difficult to investigate the problem.

-on all the beta (even latest 5.2.162 ) my cam go from “hidden users” or “visible users” (if someones is watching me or no) to LURKERS, in like, 15-20 minutes. i check my cam and the green light is on (so its still transmitting), but no one can watch me anyways
- I’d change the usb spot for the cam, but still.
- system: integrated video. amd x2 5200+. cam: logitech

I posted a comment before about the new camfrog. It always just shuts off my cf and the cf of my cg on both pc’s when we go in privat. No matter if were in a room or not on my pc and on hers it just freezes and then it shuts off. The version number of the cf is 5.2.162 . Just telling u guys so someone can fix it;)

yeah.. Version is nice but.. 20 % more cpu power is needet when new rendering engine is activatet. i have a dualcore with gforce 8800 gtx
only the supermode rooms are better with that.. normal rooms the quality is grainy.. but i think its a version thing. cf 5.2 users cams are in good quality
i hope the option use old render system still in .. in version 5.2 final

Hello!
This version is nice, I like the new system but to me some errors occurs:
1 – The nickname Icon (male or female) on my buddy list are missing after 2 or 3 hours online.
2 – If an user go offline, he still appears as ONline to me, on my buddy list.
3 – The invitation (room invitation) are not working, the invited user receive a POINT (.) after room name and can´t join.
A lot of CPU usage if the new rendering system is activated.

This Beta Version is Crap !! Works very bad on a Dual Core !!! 50 % Cpu at taskbar very bad

Hi, for the next version I think you have to fix the video problems caused buy ATI Catalyst 9.X series drivers.
I don’t know anyone reported this, googled a lot and found no solution on internet.
On Catalyst 9.3 series drivers DXVA v.2.0 is enabled and I think camfrog videos have problem with it.
When I open multible video’s on camfrog, after a while, the whole desktop freezes. There’s nothing you can do but to reset the computer.
This is a huge problem for me because I have Radeon HD 4870, I’m a game fan And Catalyst 9 series drivers are vital for some game’s performances.
But I can’t use camfrog video chat client with those drivers at all!

why i cant enter to most of the rooms..? theres this window that pops up whenever i enter to my fav room..it says “could not connect to server..this server maybe offline or behind firewall/router.”im using a mobile broadband and it was consider as a dial up connection but i’ve done a speedtest and its almost 2mbps ..is it a network bandwidth issue.?..pls tell me what to do
