Phishing and Fraud Email Warning
Recently some Camfrog users may have been the victim of several email scams called phishing scams. These phishing emails appear to come from a Camfrog.com email address but in reality they do not come from us or our servers at all.
The emails will usually ask you to download a file or to visit a website outside Camfrog.com.
Camfrog will never ask you to visit a website outside Camfrog.com. If someone is sending a link to a website like rapidshare.com do not visit the website and do not download anything. If someone is requesting that you logon to the Camfrog website be sure and type in www.camfrog.com manually in your browser window first.
Microsoft has a great Phishing information page with some helpful safety tips. We also published a post here in May called “Always Keep Your Camfrog Logon Private!“.
